I often keep an eye out for interesting photo opportunities while taking my dog for a walk in Denver. I came across this decaying basketball hoop hanging off an old aging garage on a stormy day. I loved the play of light across the weathered wood, combined with the storm clouds above to give the photo added depth.

Growing up in Minnesota, I was always captivated by the sight of the sun rising over misty lakes and the desire to find a way to capture those images on film. That desire to capture a beautiful sunrise has always stayed with me. When I moved to Colorado more than twenty years ago, the inspiration of our state’s beauty and my love of photography met and became one. At home or when traveling the world, I enjoy finding unexpected ways to view both the common and the extraordinary and share these through my photography.
