A dense cluster of leaf less aspen trees stands prominently on a small hill, beautifully reflected in the calm water below. The background features a vibrant mix of autumn foliage, adding a warm contrast to the scene. This scene was captured at Clear Lake, which is a high altitude lake off Owl Creek Pass in the mountains of Colorado.

Growing up in Minnesota, I was always captivated by the sight of the sun rising over misty lakes and the desire to find a way to capture those images on film. That desire to capture a beautiful sunrise has always stayed with me. When I moved to Colorado more than twenty years ago, the inspiration of our state’s beauty and my love of photography met and became one.
