Artist's Description
A field of vibrant yellow poppies bathed in sunlight creates a warm and inviting scene. The shallow depth of field brings attention to the delicate petals of the flowers in the foreground while softly blurring the background. In Arizona during spring fields of wild poppies can be found covering the desert floor.
About Kevin Schwalbe

Growing up in Minnesota, I was always captivated by the sight of the sun rising over misty lakes and the desire to find a way to capture those images on film. That desire to capture a beautiful sunrise has always stayed with me. When I moved to Colorado more than twenty years ago, the inspiration of our state’s beauty and my love of photography met and became one. At home or when traveling the world, I enjoy finding unexpected ways to view both the common and the extraordinary and share these through my photography. Resident artist at Gallery 6 in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver, Colorado. All images ©2000-2023 Kevin Schwalbe. All rights reserved.
