A field of sunflowers outside Denver lit up by the orange sunset of an early August evening. It's been a goal of mine to photography a field of sunflowers. I finally tracked down one of the elusive sunflower fields east of Denver and captured these beautiful flowers during an amazing sunset.
Growing up in Minnesota, I was always captivated by the sight of the sun rising over misty lakes and the desire to find a way to capture those images on film. That desire to capture a beautiful sunrise has always stayed with me. When I moved to Colorado more than twenty years ago, the inspiration of our state’s beauty and my love of photography met and became one. At home or when traveling the world, I enjoy finding unexpected ways to view both the common and the extraordinary and share these through my photography. All images ©2000-2021 Kevin Schwalbe.
